I’ve had a Delta Air recirculating filter for a while now. I got it off a public surplus auction with no remote to turn on and off. Now I’ve got it hanging up and more time in the garage I try to use it more. However I tend to forget about it cause I have to use a long stick to push the button to fire her up. Now if I had the remote or any remote at all I can keep that right on the bench and bam! So my question is how can I get a remote for this unit? Is it all possible to get some kind of universal remote to run it? Kind of like them universal tv jobs?

Looks like the remote control for that is discontinued. I'm unaware of a universal type for that unit. Probably with a little sorcery, you could make a simple Raspberry PI or the like control it from your PC or phone.

As I recall on those units, if they loose power, they wont turn back on without using the remote or start button. If that's the case, the remote contol outlet wont' work. Also they have three speeds which won't be achiveable.

While doing some Googling, i found this tidbit on a Amazon review:

"My remote died after 5 years, I found out that the JET 1000b is almost the same unit maybe from the same assembly line. I tried the remote from the JET and it works, it is JET part number 708711 toolorbit.com has it for $26.00 including shipping."

I just found the Jet one here for $23:

Might be worth a try.
