Hello all- I’ve been looking for a vintage delta bandsaw for a while and found this guy near by. Would anyone be able to tell me anything about it? I think I could get it for $150 which seems fair, but I just don’t know a ton about this particular model, or if anything appears to be missing. Thank you. Jim.

That's THE Delta bandsaw that all other have been copied from.
Looks like it is all there. Check tires and motor, but worth $150 all day long. You can get upgraded guides, well worth it. I rebuilt my father's about 10 years back. Figure in about 20 years I might need to give it a fresh coat of paint.

I just sold a similar one for $425. I bought it new in about 1985, it was 1/2 hp made in taiwan. It as a great saw, i just had not used it in 10 yrs.

Lets see..... can be broken down to move with a single person and take home. Blades are plentiful and reasonable, commonly powered by a household outlet and pretty bulletproof. Unless it was used as a stop block for a bulldozer, how else are you going to build an Adirondack chair?

I would get it.
I have an older version and am quite happy with it.
Was and still is a bit butchered from prior users.
But I did what you said, took of the old tires which was less dramatic then I anticipated.
Replaced the belt and blade and watched a ton of videos of how to set up a bandsaw
and it runs pretty good.
Wanted to upgrade to bearing guides but am happy with regular blocks.
Really like this guy.

Just remember when you move it around not to lift it by the table. The table trunnions are a weak point on those. It's a great homeowner wood cutting saw.

It has the original knobs too. They are much sought after.
Thanks all. Ended up getting it for $200 which I think is a fair price, a little more than I wanted to spend but it’ll last another lifetime. Will post restoration pictures soon too. For now, I need to spend some time researching the saw and best practices in restoring them

At $200 you are still ahead....and for all the reasons noted above.
Like I said, I have the same one....mine was built in 62. There is a tag on the back side with the exact model and Manuf date.
Mine is missing the protective shield on the downside for the blade. Someone made one out of wood. It works.
I'm thinking of cad'ing one up and using our 3D printer to make one

Mine has the original one and it was also made out of wood. It was painted grey.
I paid $250 for mine and it isn't quite as pretty as the one in this thread. Same vintage though. It's nice when they have the belt guard and fence. Mine did not come with either of those accessories, but still seemed worth the price. The belt guard is good for protecting cords in the vicinity.

I think they were standard equipment. All the saws I've seen had the same part.
I came across the 6" riser block kit (partial) and it had a wooden one just like them but six inches longer. Unfortunately, I did not find the longer hexagonal blade support piece with the other parts. (LBS - 126 in the diagram above (except longer)).
