Delta DP 220 Drill press help PLEASE !

Hey all -

I got this off CL today and Im trying to figure out where to get parts and what year it is and if you guys see anything that is missing ( except the belt )

Seems so far all I need is the thumb screw for the RH handle and the recoil spring ( broke ).Also Is this a woodworkers DP ?

Forgot to add that it has a 1/2 hp GE motor and I have been over to the vintage machinery and looked at every pic of this model and some were close but not exactly the same.

Yes, a slow speed adapter for metal working speeds is available, but hard to find.

Go over to owwm.org. They know everything, the classifieds will have parts, albiet expensive.

Looks to be missing the nut for the depth stop attached to the quill. I've actually got a line on some parts (return spring, larger pulley cover and slow speed spindle-side pulley, etc.), so PM me with what you need and I'll try to get you a deal!

I am buying a 14" tilting table for a delta dp 220 2 and 3/4 column what exact return spring do I need for this product ? Also what vice is used for the 14" table ? Thank you in advance

I have a bench model like that one, looks damn close to it.
Mine has a "Homecraft" badge on it.
as stated, OWWM can help, but you may be able to get a spring on E bay, close enough to work. May be cheaper than the vintage replacement.

Delta made thousands of this DP over forty years, so they're easy to find parts. Bearings are the only expensive part, as they have a special sleeve.

While you have it under restoration, consider finding the correct motor. That in the photo is a cheapo fan duty, probably not ball bearing. Most of the originals were 1/3-1/2hp. Since you need to replace the motor pulley, make sure whichever you buy has the same diameters, motor shaft OD and pulley ID.

They came with four-step pulleys on motor and spindle, as well as standard and slow-speed versions. The slow speed spindle pulley is larger in diameter.

That worklight is a piece of industrial art; very sturdy, but the ugliest I ever saw.
