I have run a across a Delta drill press model# 14-040. The seller is asking $100.00. I have not seen but his ad indicates like new. I can't find much information on the web and about this drill press. Anyone have any input? Is it a china version or USA made. Some of the web info I have seen indicates some of these models were made in 1996. Any input is appreciated...

My opinion, but you can find an old Delta/Rockwell of the same size or larger for about the same money if you have patience. I bought a Rockwell 15-017 for $150 off Craigslist and it is much heavier duty than that Asian Delta.

I have this drill press: Delta 14-040 since about 1983. It says made in Taiwan on it. It is still working fine. I do not use it in a commercial setting, mostly for home use, metal working, etc. If you're looking I can send photos if you like.
