Hi Folks—

Need some advice from the experts.

I purchased Legacy’s Delta Dye and the HD6600 sealer and am getting ready to apply in the coming week.

I had to move stuff into my shop. Wish I could have held off but the situation required moving stuff in.

- should I move everything over one side of the shop and do half the floor with dye and sealer and then let it dry and cure and then shift everything over to the other half of the shop to do the other half?

Or

- I can move everything out to the driveway and try to do the floor and sealer in one day? I am scared of scratching the sealer if I only give it a short window to dry/cure.

I don’t want to go the route of a storage pod.

My other question is if I go the half and half route what can I do to prevent from having a noticeable line down the middle of the floor where I do the halves?

Thanks so much!IMG_2918.jpgIMG_2777.jpg

Apply the dye to the entire floor, let it dry, and then move things carefully back in on one half of the garage. It will be OK to walk on it after it has dried. Just don't get the floor dirty or drag anything on it. You can then apply the appropriate coats of HD6600 on the empty half. Remember - it's thin to win when applying each coat. Let it cure properly, move things over, and then do the other side. Try not to over lap too much.

Unlike epoxy and other thick resinous coatings, solvent based acrylics will tend to reactivate what it comes in contact with on the second half. This helps it to blend together. Just contact Scotty at Legacy to verify the plan.
