Delta Homecraft motor pulley?

Are the pulleys for these drill presses easy to find? Is there a source where one can purchase new pulleys that work well with these machines?

Motor pulleys are easier to replace than spindle pulleys. Most spindle pulleys are splined, where motor pulleys are smooth bored. So, on the motor side, if you can find a pulley that fits the motor arbor and matches the sizes on the spindle pulley you should be good to go.

Check Grainger's or McMaster-Carr's websites to see if they carry a pulley that will work for you.

I've bought two of them in the past off of Amazon. They run around $25 and are exact fits. Four step, 4" top diameter made by Congress Castings, sold my Electric Motor Warehouse. Fast shipping! Make note of the "1/2"-5/8" fixed bore. They include a sleeve (and set screw) so it fits either size motor shaft. Very handy. I've had to file the slot in the sleeve a little so the set screw will thread all the way to the shaft but it's a quick process. These things shine up new dime too.

Both suggestions listed above are good ones as well.

Thanks guys! I'm looking to pick up one of these drill presses in the near future and the one nearest me has a single slotted pulley. I wanted to be sure a suitable replacement was available should I make the deal on it.
