So after finishing my Delta 12/14 tablesaw needed better dust collection. Since I use this saw primarily for breaking down sheet goods I kept the uniguard that came on the saw when I bought it. Problem is the OG shroud does not have a dust port. So for the sake of using it I found a shop vac adapter and cut one side off to use as a bulk head fitting. Than I drilled a hole using a hole saw through the front top of the OG shroud. It's not first rate but it does work. I couldn't find any photos of people who have done this. I'm wondering if anyone has, and if so have you done other mods to improve it? Any input would be great as I'm still not 100% happy with it.

Yes. I have sealed the base to the top using air conditioning foam and When I build the mobile base I platted off the bottom. I made the missing motor cover and added a 6" dust port. The base dust collection works good but I feel the over head is lacking.

Well with the blade rotation shouldn't you collect from the back of the guard too?

This one looks good:
