demolition hammer v rotary demolition hammer

Im in the market for a new concrete demolition hammer ~10kg weight.

Initial thoughts were to purchase a rotary demolition hammer however I was doing my research, it appears the impact energy is much higher from a dedicated hammer machine rather than from a rotary demolition hammer.

doubt I will buy a hilti $$$$$$$$ even though I know they are the best

I dont have much experience with either anyone care to comment ?

I had a Bosch when I had my concrete cutting and demo company. Don't remember the model but it was a good sized hammer. It worked well for 20+ years didn't use it every day but when needed it came thru. Downside it was heavy. Hilti makes great demo hammers as well as you stated very pricey but also lightweight. We have 3 of the TE 3000 their supposed to be for inside dust sensitive jobs but our guys are using them constantly as they much prefer them to the 90# air hammers.
Is this for a home gamer or commercial use?and how often will you be using it? If you can afford the Hilti and justify the cost probably a better tool. The weight of the Hilti will certainly help with any horizontal work on walls.

If you need a Rotor Hammer buy one if you need a demo hammer buy a dedicated demo hammer.

Demolition Hammer mainly, however its v handy to be able to drill a hole when trying to do a tidy job

Forgetting all about tool brands am I correct on my original post

A 10kg chiselling hammer will have much more chiselling power than a 10kg rotary hammer in chiselling mode

Depends how much work you have for the demo hammer, but I would say if you expect to use one for more than a couple hours at a time on a semi regular basis get a dedicated hammer over a roto hammer.
Bosch makes decent roto hammers and demo hammers. Never used anything Hilti.
