Finally started my project and looking for a good option for the floor. Shop size is 30x50 15' ceiling and CMU walls. Really looking at applying a densifier to harden the surface. Is there a all in one densifier and sealer? What type of finish is needed to apply the densifier?

We have an article about densifier sealers, including a good recommendation. The concrete just needs to be able to absorb some water to apply it.

If you want to go a step above that, you can apply a combination of straight densifier and GhostShield oil repelling sealer.

For penetrating sealers such as these, a smooth troweled finish works best. Most require that you wait 30 days before application.
Thank you for the great information. Looks like I may have finally figured out what to apply.
I have one other question that my mason mentioned. After pouring the slab a curing agent will be sprayed over the surface. Will this have to be stripped off prior to applying the densifier?

Yes, the curing agent acts as a topical sealer and will effectively block good penetration of the densifier. You may want to think about curing the slab differently. Curing agents are hard to chemically strip and generally requires a surface grind to remove.
There are optional dissipating concrete curing compounds that begin to deteriorate after 6 weeks or so from traffic and U.V light. They can usually be removed via aggressive scrubbing using a floor maintainer and scrub pad. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer to discuss the quickest way to remove it.

Ghostshield 9500 is the best all in one ive seen. That said if it were me I would do 4500 and 8510 and protect from oil stains
