Densifier over acid stain?

Can I acid stain my concrete and top with a densifier like hd40?

Brad: You can. However, acid stains respond best to penetrating sealers.
IE: HD6600MMA, SEC Sealer, Ultimate Sealer System, Nohr-S Polyurea, etc...

HD40 will produce light/muted coloration vs. these sealers.

What type of acid is used in stain and what is the stain? A dye? Who makes a good product?
