A little background before I talk about my two main problems. I am a site administrator for another forum that does not use your forum software you use. I am not sure that my main two problems are related to your software or it is in the settings you set it up for.

#1. While in the middle of a post even when you have logged in, You go to post and it ask you to log in again?

#2. On posting pictures on a thread. My forum software I use allows me to upload as many pictures straight to the post from my computer. You click the picture Icon and it ask where the pictures would be uploaded from then you upload that picture and copy the pictures information and post it to the thread without have to leave the thread at any time. On yours you have to make a photo gallery then send them to there first. Then now if you have a post started. I have to load everything to my profile gallery first, and copy one picture at a time while having to edit and submit my post for each picture I use. On my software, you do not leave the post to do pictures?

I have never had the issue # 1 you are talking about. Maybe it is your pc.

Posting pictures...well it is what it is.

When you log in, check the box that says "remember me".

What web browser are you using?

It is IE8 and Chrome on different computers. There is also another thread talking about the same problem so it is not just me. As for the remember me, thanks but that is not the problem. I also clear the cookies every night. It is an issue with the website....

As for #1, it's not the website. Most people don't have a problem. I'm on Droid, Imac, and pc and have no problems. Good luck.

I've only had this problem when not selecting remember me. If you're still having the problem after choosing remember me, not sure what it could be. I'm assuming you've done this, correct? Your post about this setting is vague.

vBulletin is pretty much the gold standard for internet forums. I'm not sure what you're using, but this is what pretty much every well-respected forum uses. There's a lot more issues in managing a site of this magnitude that the minor things you pointed out. As for the problems you mentioned, I never have experienced them, in several browsers. Additionally, it seems that photos can be added to posts through the standard manage attachments function of vBulletin. I'm not sure what the issue is. The only possible explanation I have is that it may be either an ID-ten-T error or a PEBKAC error.

I want to thank you for the one clue to question #2 that tipped me off. I was not using the attachment icon but was using the insert image icon. On PHP software the insert image icon works the same way as your attachment icon does but only with photos. I use V Bulletin on several other sites and the way one site works from the next is different due to the settings or plug-ins they use. I have not had the log off problem with other V Bulletin sites and or PHP sites.

I also would like to thank you for not being rude on your reply as well:beer:

Sorry for being vague. I have used the remember me. The problem is after the log in and you go to a thread and it still shows that you are logged in. I do a posting and I click preview or submit and it wants me to log in again. The top right hand corner still shows me as logged in but the big box pops up saying to log in again.

I also used V Bulletin on other site and have not had this problem, only here..

There is also another thread with people having the same issue so it is just not me. I am not sure what the problem may be....

Now for the other posters to this thread. SandDrag and Dankickass. I really do not appreciate the Rude comments and If you do not have something nice to say, I would keep it to yourselves, Mainly referring to the id10t comment. Not sure what PEBKAC is:mad:.

This was not posted to be insulted. It was to have some questions answered and maybe to also make some improvements as well, That is all:confused:....

Regarding problem 2 - respectfully, you're doing it wrong.

You can upload individusal images when posting.

Example: I didn't add these images to my gallery. I went to the advanced post reply (as opposed to quick reply), "manage attachments, and added the images. No gallery needed.

Thanks.

Hiball said the same thing you did and that was the problem. It works different on PHPBB software where you click the insert image icon and it gives the option on where you upload the image from. On PHPBB software the Attach Icon is used for PDFs and other related stuff...

As for the logging off problems, it has not done it at all today and figure it could have been the DSL servers or forum servers being loaded down due to the weekend traffic...

Ah, got it.

The difference between attaching images and using the IMG tag to show a gallery or 3rd party hosted image is that attached images can only be viewed by registered members. That's actually why I joined up the site - to view some tool storage organization pics attached by a few members.
