I want to build a roof/cover for my patio and am looking for any kind of free design software to help design/draw plans to submit for permit. Any suggestions for a user friendly design software?

Google sketch up is useful I think, but it's been a while since I've used it

You wont be able to print google sketch up without buying it, you should draw it out and then demo auto cad draw your plans take a screen shot and print that. I also think theres a data cad that pretty basic. If you wanna pay me i can do it all for you lol. 3d rendering and plans
