Design software source, anyone? Promise I won't get mad!

LOL, ok, I will try this time. I am looking for a decent design software, free version, so as to draw up some proper shop plans to please the local building inspector.
I have tried some, but want to be able to draw 45 degree angles as well, as most are basic stright line only.
Any info appreciated, and I promise not to get mad and quit the forum!LOL

Smartdraw does more than landscaping. it has buildings,floor plans etc.

I think you can get student versions for a couple hundred.
