Hey all, I need a little advice from those more experience than myself. First off, I have a 24x32 block garage that is uninsulated. It is roughly 45 feet from my house. I had a torpedo heater, but is acting up and kerosene is through the roof price wise. I am now looking for a new heat source.

What would you guys reccomend? Insurance said they would drop me if I had a wood stove. I do have natural gas at the house. There is an old line coming into the garage, but nobody capped it off outside when it was disconnected and I can't say I trust it. I am wondering if natural gas might be the best way to go.

I am looking at this model : http://www.menards.com/main/mobile/...irect-vent-garage-heater/p-2189171-c-6865.htm

How much (ballpark) should I expect to have it installed and potentially a new line ran? I could trench it myself if needed.

NG is most reasonable price wise in the long run. Couldn't tell how much it would cost to pay someone to install it. I have a heater just like that but a 45k from Menards. So far it has worked great. I installed it my self. Not hard. Plenty of how to videos on line. http://www.ronhazelton.com/projects/how_to_install_a_gas_heater_for_a_garage
I rented a drywall lift for $30.00 and it worked great. I did it all by myself. That heater is bigger. Never hurts to have help if you can get some. Getting that time of year when trenching in your area might be a little hard. I know it would be here in NE.
Good luck
