found my answer so I'm changing my question. If you want to have storage on boards you lay between the trusses, how do you know how strong the trusses are to safely do this?
I originally had an insulation question, but the best way seems to be insulate lower so I won't have a moisture problem. I think I can figure out a way to keep the storage and add an opening for the items stored, I just want to make sure my garage can handle the weight of stored items plus insulation and possible ceiling materials, ie drywall or tiles.
