The tool boxes are made by Lista in Holiston, MA....about 1/2 the price of Snap-on.

Listas are super nice but for the average person is almost cost prohibitive. And that is for one. For a whole wall of them is really out of the question. I guess I just need to get that winning lottery ticket :shocking:

Even 1/2 the price of Snap-Ons is still a crazy price. I did some consulting work at Snap-On and even the company employee store prices where outrageous.

They had standard table/tool chests sitting in the halls worth $7000.00. Yikes.

they are nice as hell though. one of my old bosses has a snap-on limited edition 57 chevy turqouise tool box. the thing is huge and must have cost at least a few thousand, but i think it is worth it. everyone who comes into the shop stares at it in awe. i'd have a wall full of them if i could afford it.

I love that garage! I've been to that website many a time and I always leave inspired. Then I check my checking account balances and come back down to earth!

Who in the heck would spend 13k on a tool box? What do these tool boxes do that a 200 dollar craftsman toolbox doesn't?

"Disposable" income must be nice....

I'm truly impressed with your garage. Good thing you have an Italian car in there instead of a British one.... It'd be a pity to drip all that oil on that floor!

They all do the same thing, but why not get the best if you can. I'm dying to get my hands on one of those stainless steel boxes. They will do the same thing as my $120 wal-mart toolbox, but they look a million times better. :rocker:

I have a snap on tool bos that my mechanic buddy sold me very cheap. I also have a bunch of snap on tools and they are without a doubt the best tools made, but I persoanlly dont think they are worth the money.

Lista stuff is not that bad (pricewise) if you stay with their lower end cabinets. Once you start filling the cabinets with 2" drawers and tons of compartments, the price shoots up.

They have a lifetime guarantee and can hold over 400 lbs. per drawer and still roll like they were empty!

I'll be paying for them for a while, but I plan on keeping them forever. To me, it's worth it.
