Mods: I originally posted this in the Vintage thread, but thought it was appropriate here too, and might get more visibility.
Its the exact same thread. So i totally understand if you delete one or the other, etc. Thanks.

(I thought of Jeff Moss when i decided to post this.)
Ive seen a lot of security configurations for fasteners, but this is a new one for me.

I picked up this driver because i recognized the distinct vintage translucent yellow Snap-on handle and, what at first appeared to be a flat driver, was actually a bizarre wide profile tip with two pointed prongs.

Some research revealed that Folger Adam (now Southern Folger) provided security equipment for jails/prisons and my hypothesis is that Snap-on manufactured and private branded these specialty drivers for their fasteners.

I found a picture online of a set of 5 different sized drivers, but not sure how many sizes were actually made.

These seem to be very rare and elusive.

Known screwdriver part numbers for the “set”:
N8130
N8131A
N8132A
N8133A
N8134A

I also found this picture (not mine) of the fastener these worked with:

Anyone else got any (modern or vintage) detention security tools of the trade?

My uncle was a Sheriff back in the 70s, when they built a new jail they could not figure out how the inmates were getting into the pluming and ceiling accesses, they were later told by someone who had spent some time in jail that they had used the wheelbarrow from the monopoly game to remove the security screws. after that only checkers were allowed.
