Okay first things first, my garage is more than a garage but less than a work shop. To me a garage is to store cars, motorcycles, etc. and a shop is to work on them mine is both. People may agree or disagree with my perception of these definitions but that is how I see it. So since it is neither a shop or garage it is my LABORATORY. This is true as i am always conducting experiments, some work some don't but they are all experiments!

Okay so the Lab needs a face lift. Right now it is 30'X30'X10' with a 18' car door. Storage and working space is key (oh and the wife's car needs to fit in winter makes life easier).

Most of what you see is in there all the time accept the ATV that is normally in the shed. The mid rise lift you see in the middle of the open bay goes under the platform the ATV is on, it doubles as my Motorcycle lift too. I will attach a plan of what I want to do soon. Just looking for some feed back or ideas. Thanks

Already planning stuff like;
Paint - walls and ceiling
Floor - Epoxy? RaceDeck? Something!
Heater - Hanging forced air (already have it was given to me)

30x30 is a great size. You could do one wall of floor-to-ceiling cabinets, 24" deep. One other wall could be one long work bench with cabinet storage above and below.

I like the Idea of the floor to ceiling cabinets, I don't know about a entire wall but a few would sure help. Looked through your pics, great job on your place, I like the fold up benches, helps keep from getting cluttered up. Like in the second pic, behind all the coolant bottles, oil bottles, the drip pan, etc. is my lathe, but you can't see it because of all the stuff around it.

Normally the lab does not look quite so bad but just finished putting heads on my truck so things are a bit disheveled.
