Looks like you rebuilt it, how's it been working out for you, I have yet to get a single phase motor to run mine.

You also have it hooked up in a different way, I'm still uncertain as to whether or not my centrifugal unloader is working or not.

Yours doesn't get connected to the head to be unloaded upon starting up, so you must be using another means of unloading until the motor builds up some momentum

Might rebuild this one, just not sure what I may need for parts. I can always make up fibre gaskets myself, just don't no if there's anything else I may need to get the job done, never rebuilt one before.

Ok, not quite a year later, been busy living the dream. Here's a picture of the Compressor almost completely hooked up. Found a single phase 5HP Baldor motor for it, guy never mentioned that it wasn't working and I didn't bother to ask, regardless it's working now.

The pulley on the Compressor is 19" and the pulley on the motor is 6"

Motor turns 3.16 times for ever revolution of the compressor pulley

Motor turns at 1725 rpms

Compressor turns at aproximately 545 rpms at this rate

I did some calculations to see how healthy the pump is, turns out I'm getting about 14 CFM at 100 psi

It has 2 valves to unload pressure from the 2nd head, going to hook up the dischage line directly to the centrifugal valve as it was intended next. I'm not sure why it's also hooked up to another pressure bleed off valve on the pressure switch when only one is needed. Best to have a split second of pressure still open to the atmosphere then have it locked off immediately upon the motor starting up.

Still have plans on adding a switch to it, maybe a small breaker panel next to it.

Were you able to find internal parts for the pump? I have one that's getting tired and would love to refresh it.

Got grandpa's old 342 compressor going. Works great but needs some luv. It has a knock on high side...opened her up and she has a loose pin/ piston connection. Afraid to open the head to change this because of part availability. If I can find parts...need to fix unloader on side because of oil leak and rebuild / replace the head valves even though they are working now. Anyone know where to source parts for these great machines of the past?

The oil slinger ring will ride in the groove at the end of the crankshaft, just behind the roller bearing and outside the crank counterweight. There should be a small threaded pin which goes in through the end of the crankcase to retain it behind a small protrusion on the bottom of the sump so it doesn't go running off.

Figured out the slingers. Had to adjust the end caps w/extra gaskets to get the
end clearance adj. so the crank would turn freely.
Found a ring at "hastings e-catalog - individual rings"
Now I need a valve assembly for the HP Exhaust port.
Do any other pumps use the same parts?
Thanks, Lyle

Hi ajhooty, I'm new on here and I am looking for some parts for a Divilbiss 342. Looking for what they call a head kit. Looking for the 4 disc's and springs and copper sealing rings. If you know where we could get them sure would appreciate it.

No body will give size of the disc. We have ours measured. Some champion compressors parts look the same, but can't get physical size. I went to a local champion dealer and had him bring out 2 kits he had in stock, but they were wrong size.

Did you ever find a parts diagram or rebuild kits anywhere? I got one that I'd like to do some work on as well.
