I have an ancient filter regulator. Can't find a number on it but it's really big. Similar size new is $300+. It has a broken diaphragm. It is a copper or brass alloy disk about 2.5" in diameter with a lead rim to seal in the housing. I've looked for a replacement with no luck so far.

I don't think an exact replacement is necessary. If I could find a modern fabric reinforced rubber of the right size it would probably work just overlayed on the original.

Anyone know a source for such things?

I used to use a fiber reinforced rubber called NeoNylon for making rubber end seals in air hoists that incorporated little flapper valves for control air. It worked very well and was durable. It should not be hard to source. McMaster Carr sells it.
