I have something rather interesting soaking in my tray of Evaporust today;

My Dad helpfully picked up a few old tools for me, and among them was this cute little plier/cutter by DeVilbiss, that I can find virtually no mention of - except in google docs dating to 1910 about their factory in Dundee, Michigan.

Can anyone tell me more about them? I love me some turn of the century (or earlier) tools :D and these are from around that period. I'll post a better pic once they finish soaking and clean up a bit.

I have a similar one by Bernard/Schollhorn CO.. These are parallel action pliers with cutters. If I remember correctly at 2AM, patent of 1880s or early 90s.W Schollhorn Co from New Haven CT was producing them initially.
William Bernard was the inventor
