Devoe 4508H & 379UVA progress and questions

I'm all geared up start coating my floor tonight, thanks to the gobs of knowledge from this board and Rustoleum, Devoe, Sherwin Williams, U-Coat it, Wolverine, Blah blah blah etc.

I chose Devoe as it seams to have little to no negatives (on this board), price, and a good/inforative 30 minute conversation with the Chicago & NW Indiana sales rep.

So far i've washed, scraped, etched, scrubbed, scraped, etched, scrubbed, rinsed, rinsed, rinsed, squeegeed, wet vac'ed, and let dry.

Tonight i'm putting on the base coat of Devoe 4508H Safety red thinned by 16oz. of T-10 solvent

Tomorrow will be the 2nd coat of 4508H full strength (not thinned) with Rustoluem flakes spread via a pair of old track spikes

Friday night will be the 1st coat of Devoe 379UVA to thin or not to thin??

and Saturday will be the 2nd coat of 379UVA thinned or full strength

?**********************************************?

For those that have used the 379 UVA... Have you thinned it down with either T-9 or T-17 as the product data says is an option for "improved brush and roller application" or used full strength?

And does anyone know what T-17 or T-9 is comparable too? MEK, Xylol, Etc.

I also, would like to hear who has used anti slip additives... Would you do it again, was it worth it, what did you use
And those that wished they used it... did you go to park in the winter and slide into the wall, fell on your a$$, etc

Thanks in advance for the feedback

Great job!

I used the 379UVA and did not thin it. Just one coat was fine. I used "Shark Grit" brand traction enhancer additive and I'm glad I did. It adds just enough traction enhancement so as to make it safer, and not so much that it interferes with anything.

Make sure you knock down the flakes after they've set.
