If you do a little research you will find there aren't that many epoxy manufactures. A lot of them are private labeling from a few manufacturers. That being said, most epoxies out there are of quality or they wont stay in business very long.

Elite Crete Systems started producing their own epoxy systems a while back. I'm not sure if they are private labeling for others or not, but since they spent the investment to start this I'm sure they are. NPI's epoxy is clouded compared to EC's stuff. (I have proof of that from one of my installers.) their stuff is good but still there's a difference in clarity. I'm not going to comment on others selling here as their stuff is of quality also.

Pigments can be mixed with epoxies but be careful of the type of pigments used. Plastic colors have safe pigments for most epoxies. Raw earth oxides are OK as they have no fillers. I've used Shermin Williams 844 solvent based tints with success but they have discontinued these for a universal pigment line. I've not tested these so cannot comment on them. Some solvent based dyes work well also. gene

Is it Ameron/Devoe or just Devoe? I ask because Devoe was bought out by Ameron out of Little Rock, AR over 10yrs ago. If it says only Devoe it could have some age on it. I worked for a marine supply house and we sold thousands of gallons of Devoe a week. Their marine epoxy's were Bar-rust 235 which was a primer and Devran 229H was an acrylic epoxy topcoat

After further research it appears that Devoe is now owned by International Marine Coatings so ago may no be an issue as the new cans only say Devoe on them.
