Located in Middle Tennessee, my garage floor is prepared for epoxy. And just when I thought temperatures would be the biggest challenge, it seems Devran 224HS is nothing but a memory around here. Based on a lot of good info from this site and others, the Devran coatings seemed the best, most forgiving product for a DIY goofball like me.
The dealers are saying:
1. Devran line is terminated.
2. International sold to PPG, but PPG handles paints only.
3. We used to handle it, but Devoe took it out.

WTH?? So, any experience from you guys regarding the future of this product? Or is it time to go Plan B and choose another product?

Ready to Rock, but empty handed....:dunno:

Placed a call to one of my local Devoe suppliers, waiting on a call back.

In the meantime you have a few options. You have Legacy who is prominent on this site, you have a Tnemec in Atlanta that is a day away for shipping, there is also a Carboline in Atlanta, I am unsure of their shipping schedule.

Go with plan B. Their coatings dont seem anything special - 75% solid, so you can get something equivalent or better from one of the upstanding supporters of this site. Along with PK as well to walk you through any issues.

Though, the bigger question to me is, why would you prep your floors without having the product on hand.... I equate it to getting ready for BBQ, and having everything ready to go, friends are all over.... only to realize you dont have a BBQ to cook on?

Thanks Benwah, this afternoon I spoke with a local industrial supply who has a resource for the Devran. It appears this is just a transitional time for this epoxy coating , a result of corporate buyouts. And I disagree Shaun, I can scrub the grill with no steaks in the fridge, but when I load the charcoal, the grub is in the house. I am loading the charcoal now. But I love your analogy, and you are exactly right - Devran is a quality product, but not the only quality product.
