Has anyone has tried these off brand 18v nicad replacement battery’s.

Curious for replies. 2 for $49.

Dewalts usually run on sale 2 for $99.

I've got a couple needs replacing. So gonna watch to see if any gj members have any experience.

Ni-CD is the 1st generation rechargeable. They have bad memory problems. If you don't fully discharge them or recharge them when they are only 1/2 dead they develop a memory and only work to the 1/2 dead level. They will not recharge those areas in the battery that were holding a charge when you plugged them in the charger.

If you have a special charger that will fully discharge the batteries before it charges them they will be decent batteries and provide good service.

I'm leaning toward buying one of the 20V battery adapters and using the newer 20 volt batteries (which are rally 18V and work great and have no memory issues.
