I guy I know just upgraded to the new 20v lithium Dewalt setup. I might can get a shot at purchasing his old stuff. So my question is, is the XRP stuff still current? It would be used more in an automotive environment than carpentry, but basically around the house/shop and nothing professional. I'm sure the stuff is taken care of, just wondering if its still up to date enough.

It is NiCad, but I THINK he said he does have 2 new batteries for it. I guess that is my question, how's the battery situation with the XRP line-up. Is it about out of date, but you can get upgrade to lithium ion.

Oh and just to clear things up a bit, I'm not worried at all about getting screwed, he's as trust worthy as anybody.

Depends on how much you can get it for, my XRP has held up well but I sure wouldn't pay much for it at this point.

I'm in the process of doing what your friend did. Buy 20V stuff and sell off my XRP stuff.

Im selling off all my XRP li-ion and have gone to fuel. I will say that the XRP hammer drill is on par with the new fuel.

$100 for a drill, impact driver, circular saw, light, charger, few batteries sound good? I don't really have a use in mind for the circular saw, maybe sell it off and only have $50-$60 in the setup?

That's a good price.

I would buy it. Then go buy yourself 2 new xrp batteries for $100 and you'll have tools last you 3 years i bet.
