Hey Guys, I picked up this tool at noticed a few things. It vibrates a lot just holding it in your hand. Is this expected. Also, just listening to it run it does not sound like it running at no load speed of 20,000 RPM.

What do you think.

Try running it without a wheel at all. If you still feel a vibration, there may be something wrong. If not, try reseating the wheel, then look closely and see if you can see the wheel oscillating when at low speeds (like when it's powering down). The wheel may indeed be defective.

As for the RPM, I don't know how you would verify that short of a tachometer or high speed camera. If it seems muuuuuchh slower, the unit could be defective.

You can make an audio recording of the tool, bring the clip in Audacity and run a spectrum analysis. If the peaks are factors or mutiples of 333Hz, it's spinning at 20k RPM.
