I'm looking to replace my old 18V Dewalt SawZall with a new 20V since I already have some of the 20V stuff. Having a hard time deciding which one to go with. They have the regular sawzall (non brushless) for $99, the newer compact (non brushless) for $119 and the newest compact XR brushless for $149. I'll be buying the bare tool only. Out of the 3 which would you guys recommend for normal house hold projects? I do love using it with the pruning blade at the ranch to cut off branches while I'm on the tractor mowing. Is the brushless version worth the extra money? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just bought the compact brushless couple months ago. Love it. Using it as we speak. Smokes the 18v all day long and puts out same power, stroke, etc as the full size brushless. Why anyone would buy the full size is beyond me.

There must be a few models, my boss recently bought a brushed 20v bare tool to match his drill and impact. It can hold the blade up and down or sideways (port shaped like a +)

Another guy i know just bought the combo kit with drill, impact, flashlight, recip, and a bag 2x 1.5ah batteries and charger. His recip says made in usa with global materials, but only holds blade in standard up and down configuration.

Yes there are, several models floating around out there - You have to pay attention to the model numbers, the four position clamp adds to the versatility of the tool.

I have the XR model DCS367B which is 4 way adjustable. Not sure about the others. IowaDon - I really, really hope there is a 3/8" impact wrench at Acme right now to get that deal. I actually just posted a thread in Hot Deals looking for deals on batteries. So, if I could get a free one with the 3/8" impact wrench, I'm in.

Edit - Of course they have everything but....
