The list prices are for multi packs, but these are being sold as singles.

Truth. Confirmed by reviews:
"Thought I was getting a deal, because the quantity isn't mentioned.

single item, Lowe's has them for 1.98 vs 3.34!!! Shame I didn't do some price checking."

"The listing is deceptive on this one. It is not a 25 pack marked down from 50$. It is one blade from a 25 pack. That being said I like the blades. Clean fast cut and reasonably long life."

However, at $1.59 per cut off wheel, it's still a good price.

It should be a DW8062B5. The B5 denotes Bulk 5 packs of 4 wheels. You should get 20 wheels. That is probably the most common Dewalt wheel, we have sold thousands never heard a bad thing back from them.

I would almost guarantee these are for 1 wheel. The suggested price rarely indicates what you are getting. Plus the shipping weight is a good indicator.

Have not been impressed with the Dewalt grinding or cutting wheels Lowes sells, I picked up a box off 100 of these from a member here and they cut better and last longer:
http://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.com/servlet/the-3/Cut-dsh-off-cutoff-wheels-stainless/Detail

We buy from Lehigh Valley here at work. Their roloc zirconia discs last longer than others we've used as well. Their flap discs work really well, but the real gems from them are the wire brushes for your die grinder. The knotted ones last forever and we've gone through four of the loose wire ones in 6 months.

And...of course this is a boo-boo too.................anyone do the math? $1.59 total....06 per wheel equals 26.5 wheels.

$1.59 divided by 25 wheels is 6.36 cents. You get your odd figure because you reversed the math on a figure that was rounded off to single digit precision. If you perform math with an operand of single digit precision, your result only has single digit precision.

My guess is this is an error, but I hope the guys that ordered get 25 packs. They advertised the product as 6 cents per wheel, they need to deliver on it.

I ordered 2 of these, and got 2 singles.

Did a live chat with amazon customer service, and he said it should be a 25 pack. He is sending me the "correct items" with expedited shipping.

Sounds good, but I believe I will be receiving 2 more singles.... which is fine. Took a $3 gamble and worst case will probably end up with 4 cutting wheels, best case I'll have 52.

Today I emailed and asked about the number of cut off wheels that I would get if I ordered one item. This is the communication I had with Amazon:

Comments:please provide the following information:

1. Complete name of the item:
DeWalt DW8062 4-1/2-Inch Diameter by .045-Inch Thick Metal Cutting Abrasive Wheel with 7/8-Inch Arbor
2. ASIN or ISBN (you can find it in the Production Details section of the item detail page):
3. URL of the product detail page:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004YMDB/?tag=atomicindus08-20
4. Seller you're interested in purchasing the item from (optional):
Dewalt

The question I had is; If I place an order for one item for the price of $1.59 how many grinding wheels will I receive, since it mentions $0.06/wheel in the description. It is not clearly described. Thank you.

A Message from Amazon Customer Service

Hello,

I looked up DeWalt and found that you will get 25 grinding wheels with this package.

We're constantly working to improve and expand the information on each item's product detail page. If you buy an item and discover it's not what you expected, you can return it for a refund using our Online Returns Center (www.amazon.com/returns).

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best regards,
Agalya R.

This is not correct. I called and spoke with Amazon for about an hour. I received 17 single wheels. Not the 17 packages of 25. The customer support rep I spoke to hooked me up with a great gift certificate to cover the cost of the wheels for the error. She stated they would correct the website. Which they still have not.

Yep. That's why I was hesitant to order. It just seems too good to be true that they would be selling them that cheap. But how can you decide what to do when the Amazon rep is giving you erroneous information, like they did in my case? I will admit that they do try to compensate for their errors by giving a gift or something when they are wrong. It would be better if they would make the product descriptions more accurate, though. :dunno:

My "replacement" order was once again 2 singles.

I'm ok with that, 4 wheels for $3

i rolled the dice on this as well. ordered enough to get free shipping which was 23, since i was completely out of cut-off wheels. I got 23 individual wheels. I called them to see what they would say. I didn't really want 575 wheels. It would take me decades to use that many, and I didn't really want to store them.

I was hoping they would at least give me some store credit to the tune of the giving me these 23 individual wheels at the listed price of 6 cents per piece. After sitting on hold for about 15 minutes off and on, they just decided to give me a full refund and let me keep the wheels. He said he was going to flag this listing for removal, that it would be corrected and re-listed.

So instead of 6 cent wheels, i got free wheels.
