Google failed me. I've had this saw for 20 years and never a problem. Been using it nearly every day for past few months, including bevel and miter cuts. Today I try to tilt saw and it frozen. Won't budge. Haven't tried tapping it hard yet. Have been cutting a lot of Axek so wondering if that fine PVC dust could make it freeze. And it's been outside and last several nights in 30s.

Rubber mallet next. I might try WD-40 but not obvious where.

Any thoughts?

Looking at this parts diagram

Seems like everything tilts around part 107 after you loosen clamping screw 105.

I’d pull 105 completely off, and see if 107 can be backed away from the body, expecting **** build up between 107 and 88, the base.

Failing that, seems like the e angle display ear on the right side of 107 might have something blocking it.

When you release the clamp, is it locked solid, it wiggles, or maybe even wobbles?

Some light oil and a rubber mallet and brute strength freed it. It seems to have been the Azek dust.

RTM it was locked solid. It was the bearing surfaces that 107 holds the head against the base. Probably time to take it all apart and clean everything.

Thanks all!
