Hi everyone,

I'm looking at replacing my current air compressor with the Dewalt 80 gallon compressor available at Rural King for $999.99

Model number DXCMV5048055.1

Does anyone know anything about this compressor? It seems like a reduced spec version of this model at Home Depot. same model number, but the rural King adds .1 to the end.

It seems like a good price for a two-stage compressor.

Anyone familiar?

I have the industrial air branded version of the 5048055. I've had it for a little over a year and couldn't be happier with it. It keeps up with a DA sander without breaking a sweat. Fills quickly and reasonably quiet for what it is. Not sure what the difference is in the .1 version, but I see in the pics it doesn't have the regulator and gauge setup on the front.

I'm not sure what else differs with the .1 version. That's one of the things I was concerned about. I don't mind not having the dual gauges and regulator, but I don't know if that's the only difference.

I feel like $999 is a good price for a two-stage compressor, especially with the 12% rebate they have available.

I needed one in my shop on a saterday when my old one died. I bought the dewalt one to get threw and am still using it. Seems to be great after I retaped the fittings.
