Went to my local Ace Hardware (Mobile, Alabama) this morning to pick up the Dewalt brushless XR blower with a 5ah battery and the DCB115 charger. Price posted on the shelf was $199.99. When I got to the register and it was scanned, there was a $10 manufacturer rebate and when I swiped my Ace Rewards card, there was an added $90 rebate. I ended up getting it half off at $99.99. Not sure if this is a local/regional deal or if it’s available everywhere. Just wanted to pass it on.

Thanks! I was looking to get my dad one for Christmas but the price was prohibitive. Almost settled for a Ryobi before I saw this! Ran to my local Ace and they had one left.

Thanks for the post.
I picked one up at my local Ace yesterday afternoon
Amazon reviews show many units draining the battery between uses and suggest removing the battery when not in use.

I can report having ours for 15 or so months, use it all the time. Haven't noticed that phenomenon. Maybe I got lucky.

Relatively common occurrence for some battery drain when left connected for some cordless battery powered devices. Just store them disconnected. Unlike drills, blowers are high drain power devices while in use.

Ive had mine for about 2 years now. After the first year, I noticed the battery was always dead after leaving it in. I contacted the warranty dept and was told where to send it in. I was going to use it one last time before sending it in and noticed the small lever that locks the trigger down was stuck forward a little. I put a new battery in and the motor was just barely spinning. I pulled the lever back and it stopped. Now every time I use it, I just make sure the motor is completely stopped and haven't any issues since.

This is brilliant. I have to make sure I tell my wife this. I only use the trigger. She uses the lever. Great info!
