How do the DeWalt chainsaws do in the cold - below 10° F?

Cold is hard on everything.
I can get a hand saw out if they don't play nice near 0° F

Just make sure you are using the correct bar oil for the temperature

Maybe try to keep your batteries warm

Dont know about the Dewalt, buy I did 2 cold winters using a Makita and temp didn't seem to matter much. Bigger issue was snow/sawdust/oil gumbo packing up the works and motor/chain not starting... I could 'push start' it by hitting the trigger, then pushing forward real quick running the chain over the tree trunk. Lots of thumping it on stumps etc to knock **** out of it.

Cold can have significant impacts on the performance of lithium ion batteries in general. I'll refer you to Battery University's BU 502 for the details.

I have not tried my chainsaw below freezing.
The dewalt tools I have used in the cold worked fine as long as the battery started at a warmer temp, say 40-50 degrees.
Anything left out to cold soak (say, overnight) did not seem to work, or work very long unless they were 'unfrozen'.

I use my Makita Recipricating Saw a lot out in the cold cutting tree branches and buckthorn. The cold can slow it down, or more like the batteries discharge quickly and it needs fresh ones. I thought it might need new brushes and bought some from Europe (their impossible to find). I never changed them and in the spring it started working like new. One of the best $100 tool purchases I've ever made.

Mostly chainsaws are not affected by the temperature and work efficiently. But, only problem comes when you are using battery chainsaws because battery discharges quickly. That is why I prefer to use electric or gas chainsaws. Both have good power and work perfectly in every environment.
