Hi Y'all
My faithful old Ingersoll Rand finally gave up so I decided to finally upgrade. It's unbelievable how powerful it is.

Yes its USA made but very expensive around $600.
I had a matco i bough used for $50 it sucked so bad i sold it barely could handle lug nuts all 4 of my 1/4 impact drivers can do that.
That must have been an older model Matco, the current tool is one of the most powerful out there.

I have both the DeWalt 20V 3/8" and 1/2" impacts. The 1/2" has an amazing amount of power! Very happy with them.

My only gripe about the 899 dewalt is the 1-2-3 settings. High torque is good, obviously. The middle setting is pretty low. I ran lug nuts on with them, then went to check with a torque wrench and even at 100ft.lbs, got quite a bit more rotation on the nuts. I've never used the low setting, because anything under 100ft.lbs is pointless with this tool. It would have been better if they'd made the low setting about 150ft.lbs, the middle setting about 300ft.lbs, and all in on the high setting.

I agree that speed 1 is very slow, but if you let it hit a lugnut until it stops turning (5-10 seconds) you get about 100ft lbs. If you do that on setting 2 you will WAY overtorque a lugnut..

Maybe mine is broke then...because I can beat on a lug nut on setting 2, and it still needs more to find 100lb.ft

Hmm that is odd. The only time I really break out the beast is for loosening bolts/nuts. My smaller impact does most of what I need and when it comes time to tighten most bolts I can max out the gun and be comfortable it's not going to over do it.
My results were less than his, but not far off.

Yeah I generally use setting 3 for loosening and 2 for tightening anything smaller than a 5/8 bolt. The given ratings for the settings are in RPM rather than ft/lbs like the Milwaukee.
