Dewalt DC410 Cut Off Tool ...??

I have a Dewalt DC410 cut off tool (18v) and was wondering if I can use a type 27 cut off wheel with the type 27 guard (which I have). I don't see any reason I can't use it as type 27 grinding wheels can be used with the type 27 guard. Any experience with this?
