Check the battery contacts on the saw? Snap-On stuff will corrode one terminal (they will turn it green) then not work. That's all I got. Pull the trigger and spin the blade with a piece of wood and see if it goes, then you know it's brushes, if it's a brushed model. I know zero about Dewalt stuff, their models or even what's what.
