Ive only used this saw twice and now the battery wont lock in. Ive tried multiple batteries and they are all the same, about 3/16" short off fully locking in, the connctions and blades are all aligned nothing is noticable that would stop it from going on correctly. has anybody had this issue with any dewalt tools?

The only time I've ever had any issues inserting my DeWalt batteries is on off brand tools. I know you don't see anything that's misaligned, but something clearly is. Check the rails on the side. Maybe something has become lodged in a corner there?

Try wiping Sharpie all over the leading edges, and quickly jamming it together. Where the Sharpie is missing is an obstruction on the saw. Dinged rail, or connector groove would be my guesses to start with.

I’d think the saw’s exposed edges, where it could be dinged by other tools, or a drop, would be places to look first.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found the problem, somehow i overlooked that the nut for the screw that holds the clip on was pushed out slightly and was catching on the battery.
