Purchased mine for around 215 out the door with Military Discount in early Feb. Very nice saw only wish I could install a Dado Blade.

Lowes around me still have them for 299.00. Could show them a pic and see if they will price match. Might get lucky.

Why can't you use a dado blade?

Yeah I did see the old Home Depot threads and it made me sad. And even sadder that some guys were able to use the hf coupons.

But that ship has sailed and this was what I could find.

The no tax and no shipping helped a lot.

The threaded arbor is not long enough for the dado blades and a nut.

I picked one up at $220, and had a $100 gift card from the mother-in-law from X-mas. Pretty sweet deal. I've used it a few times, and it works great. FWIW, I use my Keter folding work table (from the deal thread on that floating around here somewhere) as the stand when I'm using it. Works very well.

Re. the dado blade comment, I've read the same thing...the arbor isn't long enough. I know very little about it, but is there any reason why one couldn't somehow get a longer arbor? I wonder how interchangeable parts on the 745 are with the 744?
