Thanks RKA!! That is a great deal. I picked up one and 2 wire wheels. My buddy has had one in his shop for about 5 years now and it has held up well.

Well, it looks like mine arrived with the same issues people complained about on Amazon. There is about 1/16 runout on the fine wheel, however it doesn't appear is stems from the arbor. It appears the stamped metal washers are defective in some way causing the wheel to not sit exactly perpendicular to the arbor (if I had to guess). The question is...can this be fixed someone? Can I get washers from another manufacturer that are machined or cast more precisely?

If it's too much trouble I'll just let amazon pick up the kit and keep looking for a used dayton or baldor.

You might try contacting DeWalt directly.

I had to do this on my Harbor Freight 12" sliding compound miter saw. I made a crude arbor to hold them in the lathe and faced them.

If you don't do this and the used route doesn't pan out, you might be happier with the Jet 8" bench grinder, but they're considerably more than $85
