I found my old drill that been put away for years..after a recharge one battery still works. Question is can I use one of the newer Lithium-Ion batteries in it?
Hate to see the drill go to waste, I don't think I ever used it enough to recharge both batteries.
thanks

I feel like by the time you buy an adapter, a new battery, and a charging station for a new battery, you're well above $100. On a side note, I'm kind of confused about the adapter. It looks like the adapter goes 18V to 20V, but I'm not sure if that means 18V lithium ion batteries only or if it includes NiCad.

Better option: Home Depot has a brand new 20V lithium-ion drill, two batteries, and a charger for $99 bucks right now:

Either buy a cheap aftermarket battery if you really “just” want a battery - or just upgrade the drill with a new kit.

To upgrade to newer lithium batteries - you’ll need a new charger, the adapter, and the batteries.. by the time you get all that, youre almost at the price of a new kit anyway..

I bought some 18v batteries on amazon for my dewalt 18v drill. Two for $31. They work.
