The saw gets pretty high reviews on Amazon. Two things that guys seem to like about it is that it runs quiet and has an electric brake. I was surprised to hear about it being so quiet because sidewinders are usually very loud.

Any of you guys have this saw?

I do. It's a great saw. I have a screw type as my main saw, this is my backup saw. Been good to me for about 8-9 years now.

I have one...I would not say it's anything special or quieter than any other circular saw I've used. I still wear muffs when cutting with it. Electric brake is ok, slows things down quickly but it doesn't bring it to a dead stop.

To me the base plate is the most important part

And I have always been fond of the Makita 5007 saws I have an F model

That Dewalt sure is purty though :D

No doubt a decent saw too.
