The bevel lock (type 2 lever-style clamp mechanism) stopped holding tight when I set an arbitrary angle not a detent. The saw assembly slips either clockwise or counterclockwise, particularly when set to angles greater than 35 degrees due to the weight of the thing. I removed the dust accumulation behind the cover (back of saw carriage) but the problem persists. I suspect fine particulate between the friction clamp and pivot shaft--dust that I must remove manually. I find no instructions detailing friction clamp mechanism disassembly for this DeWalt or similar model sliding miter saws. The lone DeWalt Service Center in my vicinity closed shop. AI is no help in this instance.
