Question would y'all buy a DeWalt dwx726 retails for 249.00 at store and I could get it for 140.00, but I'm just a regular garage diy'er and my miter is just used for home projects??
Or is this just and impulse buy??

I have one of those and I like it well enough.

Whether or not you actually need it is up to you and how you like to work. For me, I really dislike using a miter saw if it's not mounted to something like this stand or a dedicated bench. Trying to use one that's loose is just a pain in the neck. I'm guessing you've figured that out already, which is why you're looking at one of these stands.

This stand is pretty nice if you plan to move the saw around the house, as it can collapse and roll, though it's a bit heavy and bulky for one person to carry up the stairs or load in a truck or car if you're transporting it to other locations. For that reason I tend to use the non-rolling version (DWX723) for jobsites, as it's quicker to disassemble and transport if you're alone.

Even if you plan to leave it stationary in your garage, I'd still recommend getting a stand of some sort, whether it's this one or another. You will greatly appreciate the utility.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Thank you so much for your response, it's always good to hear the voices of others who can she'd light on a subject. After reading reviews on DeWalt website, people have been saying the lifting mechanism gives out and gets stuck at the bottom position. I also have the chance to buy a Ridgid Ac9946 for the same price. Reviews are also high on this on
