I didn't see anything on here so I thought I would chime in with this mini review.

Dewalt has been making these stackable tool sets for some time:

I had some stuff break where I was remote and kicked myself for not having a reasonable tool set with me. Specifically a socket set. I was looking for a tool set to keep on the boat, one for the truck, etc so it had to be reasonably priced, and I figured I wouldn't be American or German/EU made for that price.

I ended up trying DEWALT DWMT73804 Tough Box Drive Socket Set (34 Piece), 1/4" and 3/8" on Amazon prime for $39:

I have been using this set and a couple companion kits for a number of months now and all I can say is:

These things are awesome for the cash

To give you a bit of background, I am no professional mechanic, but I do quite a bit of my own work. I just replaced the turbo in the 6.0 (don't ask) with this kit. I also used it to fix the intake on my GT3 (don't ask) as well as some body panel replacement and new CV on the RZR (don't ask). I prefer them over my older American made Craftsman sets.

I clean snapped a 10mm Craftsman socket the other day, so I grabbed the Dewalt kit and no problem. So I believe quality is good. I have no idea about warranty.

I can say the one piece that ***** is the screwdriver in the bit driver kit. The ergo rubber handle twists on the body. I threw mine in the trash and put my Wiha driver in the kit. Just throw your favorite bit driver in there and throw the dewalt one away. Trust me. The other parts in the case are fine. They are lower quality bits but whatever they are consumables.

I sprayed down each entire case with remoil to keep everything protected. Am I the only one who uses remoil? Hehe.

I have these kits so far, but adding wrench sets soon:

DWMT73804
DWMT73808
DWMT73806

I am building out a new tool set for the race trailer and am strongly considering these tools. these sets are dang good quality for the price, and I love they come with the tray so I can easily stay organized.

I wish they made a stackable case with a generic inset so I can add little bits to the stack. But this is a minor gripe.

Some pluses:
- feel good, some heft/meat to them
- sockets are Knurled around the top
- $39!
- the cases lock together so I can keep a reasonably organized set in the vehicle or vessel.
- the tray comes out so you can use your regular box if you want. I haven't so far.
- so far, they appear very durable.
- recently they started selling single wrenches and such not in a kit

Minuses:
- not enough socket sizes
- made in Taiwan, maybe this is a plus? (see price)
- a bit of wasted space in the cases
- I want MORE tools!
- screwdriver/bit driver is garbage.
- 3/8" to 1/4" reducer needed, no 1/4" drive handle included. (Thx ChevyEFI)

Is that really a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer instead of appropriate drive tool?
That's a clear negative point.
