I keep seeing the "Honey Badger 2" should be coming out in 2022. I believe this will be the newest mid range impact?

I see they have DCF894 listed as "new" but my buddy bought these from home depot already last year at christmas.
300 ft lbs tightening, 600ft lbs loosening. is this it?

What are rumored specs of the HB2?

Seems like DCF891 will be 612 ft/lbs tightening

The DCF894 is like 5 years I think old?
No word on when in 2022, but if they were on the UK website already then you'd think not like late 2022

I don't know anything about it but I sure would not hold my breath. I've been waiting for them to release the dcs438b that was supposed to be out last year and is now expected (at least by acme tool, the only place that even tries to give a ship date) in April... but will probably be pushed back again.

Damn, that thing is so strong that it loosened the other bolts without even touching them XD

...600 MAh I guess it's called. Or 6 AH...

We're pretty sure we know what you meant, @bubinga ;). Just one southeastern Ohioan giving another a hard time (I grew up in Zanesville).

M = mega = 1,000,000 of something. A mega amp (MA) would be a helluva lot of amps.
m = milli = 1/1000th of something. Not many amps at all.

For batteries like a DeWalt, we're talking about simple old amp-hours (Ah).

6 Ah = 6000 mAh = 0.000006 MAh.

I was the person who supplied TTC with the 891 they tested, I am a dump truck driver/mechanic and now have three weeks of use with it working on a few large projects. While I am extremely happy with it, I do hope that their new high torque is 3/4" drive because I have destroyed several breaker bars backing up this wrench, most 1/2" but many that have survived decades even backing up 3/4" air.

While not a problem for most automotive use, large trucks tend to have 1/2" grade 8 bolts through the frame rails, and when you try to remove them your backing wrench receives the entire blow once you break free from the initial tightened point and are trying to get the nut to either sheer or to overcome the rust on the exposed threads.

I actually started using L Shape Extension Bar's and actually bought the 1000 nm rated Hazet ratchets because there are just some unfortunate times that you do have to back up the impact with a ratchet even if it is less than ideal.

The point being that while I owned the 899 for years, for some reason I always respected it more or for some reason just didn't end up destroying my breaker bars with it. For 1/2" impacts I personally believe that the 891 is as strong as any manufacture will need to make these tools without bumping up to the next drive size.

I think that more compact is an area for companies to move and obviously there may be some new features that could compel one to consider an upgrade. But IMHO this impact wrench's torque values are already at the max of what the 1/2" anvil can support so I expect to own this tool until it is destroyed.

I own Dewalt due to retail availability of local vendors and I almost added a battery platform to get a better mid torque than Dewalt's previous model and I am really glad that I waited.

I actually put my larger 1/2 air impacts in a box in the basement, as this impact in this anvil size has made them completely redundant IMHO.

By my nature I don't tend to have brand loyalty but this is really a nice impact and I am really happy it was released in a battery platform I was already invested in.

Unfortunately it was also a reality check that I won't be able to ditch those heavy 3/4" and 1" sockets for my needs purely due to the limitations of the 1/2" standards and probably physics.
