I saw your entry. =)

It's in the wrong Dewalt post, but I'll make a note to count it anyways.

Dewalt's previous ToughCases are pretty good, but the new magnetic ones are styled after Dewalt's tool cases, which are pretty darned indestructable.

Here's my entry:

I’d love to have a new Dewalt Magnetic ToughCase to hold my screwdiver bits, adapters, and 1/4″ drive sockets. I’m planning to make a custom foam insert to hold the bits and sockets and my new Wera BitRatchet. This case will be perfect for that, and will make an awesome set to keep under the seat on my motorcycle!

Hope I win!

Is it my imagination, or was the bit set not originally included?

I thought the original post said it was only the case, and no bits.

Anyway, are you giving away the same one like in the stores (the one you took a picture of)?

Nope, not your imagination. The post was updated a little after it went live, and again just now (a new pic was added).

The prizes will be shipped directly from Dewalt. After the post went life, I asked for clarification, and was told that the prizes would in fact be the 15-pc fastener set with a Dewalt magnetic ToughCase.

I received a standalone ToughCase this afternoon for review, and it's built even better than I thought it would be! When they said it's magnetic, they weren't kidding! I have a few magnetic tool trays and accessories, and this ToughCases holds strong on surfaces the others slide down on.

The attached photo is what the 5 winners will each receive.

Professional Entry: Thie kids here in the woodshop are always losing the bits and can't find them! I'm tired of searching high and low for bits that should be "in their place." This box would be great in helping with that......

(see how I used "do it for the kids in there?)

Personal Entry: I would use one to store all of my bits in. I would probably take it to school and let the kids use it because I could use it there, more than here at the house:bounce:.

(notice how I worked in "do it for the kids" in this one too):lol_hitti

edit: hahahah, you're all srewed, i played the "kid" card.....

I noticed the update now says the case must be shipped to a US address too. Boo. :(

Luckily, however, I have a US address for such matters, so feel free to select me after all! :bounce:

Sorry about that, but it's sort of a necessity. Some of my self-sponsored giveaways don't have such a clause, it depends on a number of things. Since you have a US address, it's a moot point anyways if you win.

I know that Lowes has already started carrying the 15pc ToughCase combo sets, but I haven't seen the case by itself yet.

Thanks for the opportunity Stuey!
You're very welcome. But, bear in mind that the prizes will be provided by Dewalt.

How could I ever say no to the opportunity to share goodies with random readers and friends?!!

(There have been times where I turned down sponsored giveaway offers and will probably have to do so in the future as well.)

There are still a few more days left to enter. Plus, there's also the $50 Woodpeckers Tools gift card giveaway ending tomorrow night.

The giveaway is over, and the five winners have been selected and contacted.

I cannot match up emails and names with GJ aliases. Is anyone from here one of the winners?

Funny thing, I don't win stuff often, usually because I don't enter or play (lottery, etc.), I entered because I thought it was ironic that my GF recently ran over my regular DeWalt case, while it was open on the floor. Now for even more irony, that last thing I can remember winning was a DeWalt hat and coolie at a hardware show years ago, you had to use DeWalt tools to sink so many screws in an allotted time and cut off pieces of a 2 x 4 to a certain size (without a tape measure).

Thanks Stuey!

You're welcome! Yours was one of the two entries that were not chosen at random, b/c it was a bit amusing. The magnetic ToughCase is build much differently than the original ToughCase/compartmentalized bit case, but it's still great for loose bits and whatnot. I hope you get some good use out of it!

When closed, the new ToughCase feels like it could handle being run over with a car without any sort of damage.

Ya know it's made in China.......

I actually couldn't find COO info for the review sample case I received. It did come with a neat flat refrigerator/toolbox magnet that's made in the USA.

In any case, made in China/Malaysia/etc or not, the new ToughCase is rock solid.

I picked up a new set of Dewalt pilot-point drill bits the other day. They're not made in the USA either, but they're great bits nonetheless.

Got my toughcase in the mail today, looks like it will work out great carrying small bits & screws into the job.

The magnets are really strong , I thought of a new idea that I could put screws on them when taking locksets or what ever I am taking apart.

It came with 14 bits , 2 drill bits , 3 nut drivers , & a bit holder.

It's black, not yellow like the picture, which is ok with me as it will match my drill cases.

I think 1 reason I am so excited is, the last tools I bought were a set of Cornwell Metric flares from here back in March & before that I don't even know, work is pretty slow in Michigan.

Thanks again Stuey & DeWalt its really nice to have a new tool.
