Just received my new Miter Saw...
The DeWalt DW-716

I also ordered the Delta 36-136 Miter Saw Stand.
The reason I picked the Delta over DeWalt was the use of the wheels to transport the miter saw over the land and closer to the place of use.

The stand should arrive tomorrow and this weekend, i hope to put it to use to build a small garden shed under my patio's staircase.
Then I have plans to use it to do crown molding around our new home and any other projects that Cindy may come up with... :lol_hitti

Be sure to check the 0 and 90 degree detents against the indicator(s). Both of the indicators are adjustable and may be screwed up from shipping. This doesn't bother until you try an odd angle and can't figure out why you are a degree or 2 off.

I have that stand and it is great! I've went up and down stairs with it and it's easy to move and even compact!

Check the fences to make sure they align and are 90 to the bed of the saw. You'll also want to make sure that the blade arbor is parallel to the bed of the saw.

Assembly for the Delta stand was simple - even supplied the allen wrench. But still needed a wrench for a 19-mm bolt/nut.

I did some dry runs (no wood), to see and feel the kick...not bad, what I would expect for a portable stand. Can't wait to do some cutting this weekend.

Does anyone have this stand and use it with a sliding saw?

I have the C-man 12" Sliding saw and need to find a stand that will be stable when the saw slides.
