I have a DCS355. I really like this tool. And I want to like it more. But I have an issue I hope y’all can weigh in on.
Since new, the blade sometimes rotates on the shaft. To be upfront and clear, it is not rotating with regard to losing its registration in the quick release clamping mechanism. That works perfectly.
The issue only showed up a little at first and was manageable and I convinced myself it was me and maybe I was applying excessive pressure. That’s not it.
While cutting the whole shaft will rotate. It move pretty smoothly when this happens (no clicks or roughness felt).
It’s gotten worse and now it pisses me off pretty righteously.
I’ve used other dewalts and I haven’t noticed this. No other dewalt owners I’ve asked in person have experienced this. I don’t experience this on other oscillating tools I own or have owned.
I can rotate the nut shown in the photo with a wrench but it neither tightens nor loosens. I can’t figure out how to tighten this whole thing up.
Who’s been there / done that?
Thanks!
