Already had the 18v drill and recently added the 18v impact driver. Drill came with a case, but the impact was bare tool without a case. I know these two come in a combo kit with a single case, so does anyone know where I can buy JUST the case?

Somewhat similar to the question at the grocery store: paper or plastic? Tool guys go through the same: bag or case? Cases are stackable and protective but good tool bags can hold more than the tool: extra batteries, bits, charger and more. I have purchased power tool cases for $5 ,dremeled out the interiors and modified some rigid foam to fit the specific tool. Ebay/CL are great sources for unwanted tool bags or cases

A case for just a drill will not fit the impact and drill. I had a case from a dewalt concrete hammer drill and with very little modification got the impact and drill to fit.

Take a dremel or plunge cutter and ccutt the dividers. I had success in the past. ALso chopped up sawsall case to hold two like a shoe box. Wouldn't hold charger though

As above, LOTS of plastic cases are available on Ebay. If you can find out the product number for the combo kit you can do a quick search and find them. A few months ago I snagged a Milwaukee combo kit case for $17.88 shipped to me. I despise those "handy contractor bags" though I am using it to haul a quick plumbing kit around. Beats throwing it away I guess.
