I have to imagine it's a gimmick. They have the same design on their hex bits also, but if you're putting that much torque with that driver to flex, probably not the right tool for the job.

I did have a spring loaded common screw driver holder over 20 years ago. while I used the screwdriver continuously, I didn't use the screw holder clip thingy. It was a pita and didn't work well, and my fingers were more reliable in holding the screw in the place I wanted it without it going all over the place. I am willing to bet money you will either a)lose that snap on peice or b)figure out its a pita and not use it. magnetic tip screw driver do a fine job of keeping you from dropping screws on the ground imo and having the correct phillips/hex will keep you aligned just fine. I have this set right now (for about 4 months) and they are a more than adequate tool for my needs. I sincerely doubt you will be starting any common screws in new non existent holes which is where this set might be worth it.

Ditto. Same screw drivers here. Way better than Harbor Freight, probably way worse than SnapOn. And perfectly adequate in my garage. I use my screw gun 98% of the time anyway.
